Step 1: Register for the forum. Click on "Join us now!" on the forum to begin the process of registering for Nocturnal Reverie forums. Once you have submitted your information, a validation will be required. This is a simple validation for your email address, so just check your Inbox to see when it arrives. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes check your Spam folder and then contact the webmaster for help using the contact page. Also, while you are not required to use your character's name as a username we suggest that you make a username without numbers or underscores and with proper capitalization.
Step 2: Getting started! Once you have been validated and set as a member, there are a number of things you can do, but before you begin we require that every member submits a character sheet (see step 3). You may also post in our OOC forums with any questions you may have or introduce yourself and get to know the other members. You may also like to read the Encyclopedia Parthia which contains all of the information you will need to know during your stay here at NR. Visit the MAIN INDEX for a description of all our topics. Some of the information you will find is purely for general interest where as other information will be beneficial to both character construction and role-playing. Topics are listed in categories under degree of importance. If you have any questions at this point feel free to ask. We are very punctual and you should expect a reply within a couple of hours.
Step 3: Submitting a character sheet. The format and details about the character sheet are posted as a sticky. Please copy and paste the format into a new Notepad or Word document and fill out all fields. Be sure to correct your spelling! A few members of the staff will read over your profile and make a few constructive comments. After this time, your profile will be approved and you can begin role-playing! You should expect your profile to be approved anywhere from a few hours to a few days after being posted. Please be patient with us as we do need to eat and sleep sometimes. :)
Step 4: Beginning your RP adventure. Now you are ready to begin your RP experience at Nocturnal Reverie. You can begin a topic in one of the many open role-playing areas or you can ask to join one of our administrator run plots. Looking for someone to role-play with? Try the request a role-play forum. Feel free to ask questions or use our OOC forums at any time.
