Activity/Absence - It is recommended that all members be active twice a week; however, this standard varies on an individual basis and acts more or less as a guideline. It is also encouraged that when you go on holiday, are tied down by school for a few months, or have other commitments to attend to that you inform your fellow role-players. This way they can plan to continue the role-play without you or halt until your return. All members who have been inactive for a year without previous notification will be deleted.
Advertisement - There should be no advertisement anywhere on the forum unless it is posted in the designated advertisement board. All other advertising will be deleted promptly. The person who does not follow this will be warned by e-mail and will have their account banned forthright depending on the contents of the advertisement, so please make life easy on us and yourself. Use the advertisement board. All other off site links are allowed without a certain length of membership/number of posts; however, they must not be racist, pornographic, or derogatory in any way.
Age/Immortality - If you are a basic member and not an administrator or moderator, your character has an age limit of 700 years and may not be immortal. This right is reserved for senior members, although we have been known to make a few exceptions based on the circumstance.
Avatars/Signatures - If you are using an image done by someone other than yourself, you must inform the artist that you will be using their work unless they have specified otherwise. Credit in your character's profile is also required. If you are an artist whose artwork has been ripped please inform Selene of the situation by email. Character naming/User-name - When you sign up for an account please do not include numbers or _'s. Also any names of racist tone and/or that are offensive in any way will automatically be deleted, with the individual's IP address banned. Furthermore, in keeping with the fantasy/medieval theme it is advised that your character's name be of proper origin including a first name and if applicable a surname or title.
Character races - All races are allowed. Still, it must be kept in mind that a character must never be older than 700 years and cannot be immortal. We invite you to create your own fantastical race if you so desire; however, your new race should be accompanied by a fairly complete description. Contact Adrian for more information.
Donations - Joining and membership are free; however, it is quite expensive to run the website, averaging $100 a year, so donations through Paypal would be greatly appreciated! 100% of the donations will go to running the website. For more information feel free to contact Selene.
God-modeling/Power-playing - Avoid power-playing and god-modeling.
Harassment - Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated on this website regardless of the method used, whether it is via e-mail, private message, forum, or c-box. Each case will be reviewed by a council which will (depending on the severity of the situation) decide whether the accused member should be banned for a set amount of time or deleted permanently.
Number of OCs (Original Characters) - There are no restrictions on the amount of characters you can create. Nevertheless, if you choose to create multiple characters it is advised that you be able to maintain all the role-plays your characters are currently involved in. Also for the sake for the other members you should have a list of all your characters; it ought to be in an easily viewed place. You do not have to create multiple accounts.
Post Length - Post length should be greater than one paragraph containing four-six sentences. A post should also contain fairly decent grammar and proper spelling. Also we value quality over quantity. A strong two paragraph post is better than a longer, weaker six paragraph post. Since the forum is dictated by solely by the written word it is of importance that each member attempt to improve their writing.
